The greed and corruption that defines and blights this modern age, causing the degradation of the Earth's resources and its climate as well as increasing the negative qualities devastating individuals and the planet will not be given up based on moral platitudes, religious beliefs or sociopolitical adjustments. Unless people can access a 'Higher taste', the superior pleasure of the real self, they will never extricate themselves from inner and outer destructiveness. The most profound implications given by the ancient yoga texts is that we have something else about us that we must nourish, and to fail to do so is to fail in ALL our endeavours.
