About the event

What is the power of Kirtan? Group chanting or singing, the art of making music together, much like singing in a choir, creates a powerful vibration in the body, affecting a person's mind and spirit. Kirtan reduces stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. improves attention, enhancing a positive mood. Kirtan Fest is fun for friends and family. Bring a chair, a blanket, pack a picnic and enjoy the bucolic atmosphere of Boals Masion grounds. Or, pre-order a delicious meal from award winning Webster's Cafe and pick it up at the event. We are happy to announce that Kirtan Fest 2023 is collaborating with Acoustic Brew to offer two concerts for the price of one! Pay for Kirtan fest, get a wristband on site and attend the Acoustic Brew concert that starts immediately after Kirtan Fest ends, for free. Show evidence that you have an Acoustic Brew ticket, and catch the Kirtan Fest event for free. What a wonderful way to end the summer.

Meet your Artists:

Andy Tolin- Central  PA musician, Andy Tolins has performed with numerous collaborators for  over 30 years. Adding guitar, vocals, bass, Dobro, and mandolin to many  groups, including The Screaming Ducks, The Triple A Blues Band, Haystack  Lightnin’, The Usual Suspects, Midstate Select, and others.

Triple  A Blues Band’s first album, Highwater, earned a Best Unsigned Band  award from Billboard Magazine in 2000, for songwriting and  musicianship.

Gaura Vani- is a writer, musician, filmmaker and father of three. He has circled the globe many times for the last two decades sharing sacred stories and the timeless art of kirtan, the communal singing and music tradition of Vedic India. Gaura Vani's events are unifying and transporting - a mix of participatory rhythm and song, story and dance. He has traveled in Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia performing both as a solo artist and with his sacred music ensembles “As Kindred Spirits”, “The Hanumen” and “Juggernauts”.

Free Range- Performing acoustic folk music. Doug Arnold and Tom  Vella will be playing.

SGT. Bob- Is a local singer/songwriter and Nashville recording artist who has a unique playlist; predominantly a  mix of 70's and 80's light and classic rock spattered with country from  all ages with a few moving heartfelt originals in similar style

Sarvatma- Known for his melodious and soulful chants, ranging from ultra-mellow chords to jazzy Latino flare, Sarvatma Das has been immersed in kirtan yoga for more than three decades. His discovery of kirtan began in the early 80’s when he was first introduced to the science of bhakti yoga. Enthralled by this ancient philosophy and tradition, Sarvatma immediately committed himself to a new life mission of sharing kirtan and the bhakti practice with others.
